DTS Extended Warranty InformationIf you are purchasing an Cadillac DTS, or if you already own one, you may be thinking about getting some level of coverage beyond the normal Cadillac manufacturer warranty. Although DTS's are generally very reliable vehicles, an extended auto warranty may provide you with protection to offer you the peace of mind you are looking for. GMPP for your DTS can either extend the original level of coverage that came with your vehicle, or offer you a limited extended warranty plan. These plans are accepted nationwide at all Cadillac dealers, and also afford you with most of the benefits usually granted with new car purchases. DTS Extended Warranties - Alternative ProviderAlthough Cadillac offers a very good DTS Extended Warranty, namely the GMPP - General Motors Protection Plan. Many consumers feel more comfortable with the convenience and affordability of an alternative DTS extended warranty provider. You should investigate your options before picking your extended warranty plan. ![]() DTS Factory Warranty:New Vehicle Limited Warranty on DTS vehicles registered in the U.S.A. are covered for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first (some GM products may have additional coverage). The complete vehicle is covered, including tires, towing to your nearest Cadillac DTS dealership, and cosmetic corrosion resulting from defects. Repairs will be made to correct any vehicle defect, and most warranty repairs will be made at no charge. In addition, rust-through corrosion will be covered for 6 years/100,000 miles (whichever comes first). See your Cadillac DTS dealer for details. Corrosion ProtectionDTS are designed and built to resist corrosion. All body and sheet metal components are warranted against rust-through corrosion for 6 years/100,000 miles (whichever comes first). Application of additional rust-inhibiting materials is not required under the corrosion coverage and none is recommended. See your Cadillac DTS dealer for terms of this limited warranty. AssemblyDTS's and their components are assembled or produced by different operating units of General Motors, its subsidiaries, or suppliers to Cadillac worldwide. General Motors sometimes find it necessary to produce DTS vehicles with different or differently sourced components than originally scheduled. Since some options may be unavailable when your vehicle is assembled, General Motors suggests you verify that your DTS includes the equipment you ordered and that, if there were changes, they are acceptable to you. EnginesDTS are equipped with engines produced by Cadillac Powertrain or other suppliers to Cadillac worldwide. The engines in Cadillac products may also be used in other Cadillac makes and models. An Important Note About Alterations and WarrantiesInstallations or alterations to the original equipment vehicle (or chassis) as distributed by General Motors are not covered by the General Motors New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The special body company, assembler, equipment installer, or upfitter is solely responsible for warranties on the body or equipment and any alterations (or any effect of the alterations) to any of the parts, components, systems, or assemblies installed by Cadillac.
